We pay particular attention to the installation of new treads. We make sure that your risers and the skirtboards (see anatomy of stair - [site section pending]) are tightly mitered together; we make corrections for any rise issues that occur, so that no one will trip on an uneven staircase; your stairs will look like they were originally built just for your house with beautiful wood. Curved staircases are a specialty with us. The new treads are custom cut, on site, to match the exact radius of your stairs; again the skirts and risers are tightly mitered together; curved trim is custom-cut to go around your treads. The railing is bent on site to match the radius of your stair. You will be amazed as the process and the final result.
Builders have a tendency to put in the same balusters in all their houses, and eventually the wood becomes marked up, chipped. We can take out those old balusters and replace them with updated metal balusters. Come to our showroom and see some of the choices, colors, and lots of ideas. We can leave your rail and newels just as they are, if you are happy with that part of your rail. We can take out the worn out wood ones and replace them with new wood ones, different designs. Whatever you want done to your staircase, we can do it.
If you have an open rise stair, meaning you can see through it, there are no risers, and you don't like it anymore, we can close in the back, add risers and give your staircase a completely different look. Russell, who will come to take a look at your staircase, has great ideas and can help you see what can and cannot be done with your existing stairs.
Our showroom is a great place to start for ideas, for a look at metal balusters, asking questions, scheduling an appointment for Russell to come out and take a look. We want you to have the most beautiful staircase you can imagine. Looking forward to seeing you!!
